What is random acts of findness?
It’s how the Internet and your ADHD feed each other in a loop. You get on the net with some sort of focus, and then follow a link here, and a link there, and you end up on an interesting ride. That is what I’m calling “random acts of findness”. You’re randomly finding things that you weren’t looking for.
Here’s an example:
I was reading Terry Tempest Williams’ book “The Glorians”, where she mentions a few times that she has a cavernous hemangioma so I went on the internet to see if that was true. I landed on a site called alaskanincancerland.blogspot.com. A beautifully written set of posts by Eva Saulitis about her diagnosis and acceptance of cancer.
Eva Saulitis died in 2016 at the age of 52. Her Wikipedia page is equally well-written; poignant and touching. So many beautiful beings leaving the planet without saying goodbye to me.
